Sometime around 1995, a young family man named Kevin Peil was given a special gift for Father’s Day - a home brewing kit! His first batch of beer was a labor of love (an Irish Red or something to that nature), but whatever it was, it was wonderful and it instilled in him a hobby and passion that would change the course of his life.
Fast forward ten years to 2005 and Kevin found himself surrounded by good friends, many of whom were also home brewers. As many beer enthusiasts dream of someday opening their own brewery, Kevin and his friends talked the same talk - except one day, they decided to actually do something about it. After a couple years of planning and several drafts of a business plan, the friends pooled their money together and set out to open a brewery. It took two years of hard work (and almost twice the amount of money they originally thought), but their dream finally became a reality when Tri City Brewing Company was born.
Tri City Brewing took its name from the three cities - Bay City, Saginaw, and Midland - located in the eastern part of the lower peninsula of Michigan. These three cities are collectively known as the Tri Cities.
It was 2007 when Tri City Brewing opened its doors and became mid-Michigan’s first independent brewery in more than 50 years. The micro brewery has since released a number of award-winning brews and has even become the official micro brewery for The Great Lakes Loons minor league baseball team, for whom they produce an exclusive blend. Enjoy these two popular brews from mid-Michigan’s finest micro brewery!

-
- Brownhoist Nut Brown Ale
- American Brown Ale
- 4.80% ABV / IBU
- This brew draws its name from the rich industrial history of Bay City, Michigan. The Brown Nut Ale is medium bodied with a rich mahogany-brown color. With five different premium-malted barleys and two hop varieties, this malty brew has the perfect balance between bitterness and sweetness!

vegetable oil - Sauté the ground beef. Part way through, add the bell pepper and onion, and continue cooking until the vegetables are crisp-tender. Add the salt and pepper.
