Mendocino Brewing Company is internationally renowned as a brewer of full-flavored, traditional ales. The company was established in 1983 and was the first Brewpub in California since Prohibition, and the second in the United States. Recognized as a pioneer in the American Craft Brewing renaissance, Mendocino Brewing Company takes great pride in their award-winning, hand-crafted beers and has expanded to run two state-ofthe- art breweries, one at Ukiah, just over 100 miles north of San Francisco, and the other at Saratoga Springs, New York. The Saratoga Springs location eventually became known as the small Olde Saratoga Brewing Company (in 1997) and has since become one of the leading craft breweries in the state. Especially known for their Saratoga Lager and IPA, brewed primarily for the local region, Olde Saratoga has been voted a “Local’s Choice Winner” and produces an intriguing collection of limited allocation brews. It has been an exciting journey for Mendocino Brewing Company, and while they continue to incorporate newer technologies and experiment with cutting edge techniques, the excellent quality of their beers is one thing that will never change.
